The challenge
The challenge was to effectively communicate the breadth and complexity of REC's MEP services in a way that is both visually engaging and easy to navigate. It was essential to build a platform that catered to a diverse range of stakeholders, including property developers, architects, and business owners, while maintaining a professional tone that aligned with the technical nature of their work.
The Approach
The approach centered around creating a clean, professional design that emphasized the company's technical expertise. A strong visual hierarchy was developed to guide users through key areas, such as services, completed projects, and contact information. Emphasis was placed on developing a responsive website that adapts seamlessly to various devices, providing a consistent user experience for mobile, tablet, and desktop users. The content strategy was focused on making complex engineering solutions easily digestible for non-technical audiences while retaining detailed technical information for industry professionals.
The Design language
The design language incorporates a bold, corporate aesthetic, with an emphasis on trustworthiness and reliability. Neutral tones are used as the base, while accents in yellow and grey reflect the technical and industrial nature of REC’s work. REC provided with their own images, which were unfortunately not of high quality. Sans-serif typography was used to ensure readability across all content. Icons are used sparingly to represent key service areas without cluttering the interface.
